After browsing to a few webpages and some readings from fashion mags and books, I can generally conclude that these are some of the basic items every woman should have in their wardrobe:-

Basic plain tee
This item is so essential because it can go with just about anything – minis, jeans, khakis; you name it! Simple yet never goes out of fashion.

Tank Tops
It is as important an item as the basic plain tee. Throw on a great jacket and you are ready to go!

A nice camisole
This item will definitely enhance your femininity; Also boosting your confidence from inside out!

A nice plain white shirt
Get something oversized so you can wear with your skinny jeans or leggings and don’t forget to add a nice belt with it! Or simply pair it with your best jeans to look chic and classy!

The LBD (little black dress)
LBD never goes wrong in any occasion. More importantly it never goes out of fashion!

A nice girly top
For first dates or even meeting the parents; this will make you look great while letting your girly-ness out!

Cardigan / Jacket
This item will change your look instantly! From just the girl-next-door to classy fashionista! (Make sure it’s the right size and cutting to avoid looking like you just got out of the ward!)

A good book I can suggest you to read on fashion and styling tips would be Victoria Beckham’s That Extra Half An Inch. VB’s style may be off tangent to some, but in this book she shares her opinion on styling and how to look best with simplicity. My personal opinion about VB: Her sense of styling and confidence always stands her out from the crowd.

Happy styling!
